A Certificate of GMP Compliance is a type of International Trade Certificate (ITC) that confirms a company’s adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) in the production of natural health products (NHPs) in Canada.
What Is a GMP Certificate?
This certificate includes key details such as:
• The site license holder information
• The locations where the product is manufactured, labelled, and packaged
• The site license number and its expiry date
Although not titled “International Trade Certificate,” GMP certificates serve the same purpose and are recognized as such when issued for export documentation.
Who Issues GMP ITCs?
Food, Health & Consumer Products of Canada (FHCP) is an authorized third-party issuer of GMP compliance certificates for natural health products within the food manufacturing sector.
Please note: FHCP only issues GMP-related ITCs for NHPs associated with the food manufacturing industry. Certificates are not available for other product categories.
